Day 1 Introduction of my fitness journey


Hi, let me introduce myself first. I'm Mark Gil Sumanlad, 33 years old, and I'm from Panabo City, Davao del Norte. Currently, I'm in Davao City because of my work there. I want to write about my fitness journey because I know it will motivate me to reduce body fat. Actually, I've done this before in 2019 and 2023, but those two instances were different because I kept stopping and starting again. In 2023, I managed to reduce my weight from 82kg to 71kg, which was a significant decrease. However, it was abruptly interrupted because I suddenly fell ill and had to be hospitalized. That's why my fitness journey, particularly the 100-day challenge, came to a halt. I was close to completing it because I started on January 31 and planned to finish by May 22, 2023. By then, I had completed 55 days, counting the days I went to the gym. I had been going to the gym consistently for 17 weeks, usually three to four times a week.

I want to write about this because I also want to share with readers how to lose weight properly. Many things are just speculation, and many people are unaware of many aspects of the fitness journey. I've proven and tested it myself; what I lack now is just taking action again and changing my mindset because without those, we won't lose weight.

It's the same as a game; we need to play more to gain experience and progress. If we don't do anything, what can we expect to improve? It's the same in real life; if we don't do anything, we shouldn't expect our bodies to change.

So, today, I probably weigh around 84kg due to excessive weight, and many clothes don't fit me anymore. Join me on my Fitness Journey.
